If you don’t subscribe, you will lose all your OnStar1,2 benefits. But don’t worry: Ordering a continuation of the OnStar services3 (excluding Wi-Fi data4) is easy. You have 2 options:

Your journey starts on your mobile phone: Unlock your car and check your oil life – even before you sit in the car! The myOpel app for OnStar even helps if you have forgotten where you parked your Opel – just honk the horn and flash the lights remotely and let your car remind you.

 

With the myOpel App for OnStar1 you can:

 

  • Contact OnStar from anywhere
  • Call up important vehicle information such as tyre pressure
  • Lock or unlock your car2
  • Locate your vehicle online
  • Activate your lights or horn to directly find your vehicle
  • Send destination addresses to your built-in Opel navigation system3 without difficulty
  • To take advantage of all myOpel App services for OnStar4, a myOpel account will be set up upon your registration

In order to use OnStar on a smartphone, just download the myOpel App in the Google Play Store. If you are using an iPhone, you can find the myOpel App in your AppStore.

At the touch of a button: The three buttons in your car are the keys to comprehensive OnStar services. This way, we are always there for you – unless you press the black one to disappear.

 

The three buttons in the cockpit are your direct link to OnStar:

  • The blue service button promptly puts you through to an OnStar advisor – you can make use of most OnStar services this way.
  • In an emergency, press the red SOS Button. You will be immediately transferred to an OnStar advisor, who will provide help as quickly as possible.
  • If you press the black privacy button for approximately five seconds, OnStar will not be able to determine the location of your vehicle anymore – except in emergency situations, for example, an accident or car theft.

Option 2: Press the blue Service Button in your car to talk to an OnStar advisor. They will assist you in ordering the continuation of OnStar services.


If you go for a monthly subscription, OnStar comes at XX € per month (incl. VAT). A yearly subscription comes at the advantageous price of only XX €(incl. VAT) per year.5

 

 

1If after your trial you do not purchase an OnStar subscription, you will no longer be able to use OnStar services or be able to access the OnStar features in the myOpel app. Even without an active OnStar subscription, you will still receive Vehicle Diagnostics in a monthly e-mail for 4 additional years, if you do not opt out.
